Let me share with you a little bit about myself...
I was born in California and spent a few years in Santa Cruz when I was very young, before growing up in Sonoma Valley Wine Country. I got the name Granola Girl" from a term I learned in Santa Cruz, that was meant to describe anyone who ate "healthy" foods or lived a healthy lifestyle. I didn't know back then I would grow up to be one but here I am. Granola Girl.
During my time in Sonoma I learned a great deal about fresh healthy ways of cooking. This is where I really started to love and respect food.
I know, so far this sounds like puppy dogs and rainbows but the truth is, the first 13 years of my life I dealt with a severe allergy to dairy products. Then as a young adult, I wanted to be perfect and fit in just like everyone else. I tried lot's of different diets and never really got the results I was looking for or I was always hungry.
I started working for a major grocery company and quickly found out that I didn't feel good about the foods that were being sold. I actually felt guilty selling these foods to people.
I then found myself suffering from Inflammation in the form of Autoimmune disorder, Arthritis pain, Osteoporosis, just to name a few. Knowing I had to make a change in order to get off my toxic and expensive medications, I went to work for a natural grocery company so I could be around all the foods I loved!
My interest became very driven for using food to heal my body and when it started working, I decided to go all in and become a Certified Holistic Nutritionist. I can now share my knowledge with the people who want to better their lives just like me.
I started Granola Girl Nutrition so I could help people use food to combat or even reverse their health issues. My goal is to give you all the support you need to feel vibrant and alive while making the changes you desire.
